Living Color Cabinetry Presents Our Design-Build Program for Trade Professionals

Living Color Cabinetry is pleased to present our design-build program available exclusively for trade professionals. The "Build It Here" program was developed for designers based on their input. As part of the program, designers work side-by-side with Living Color woodworking artisans to select the design, wood, molding and finish to best meet a customer's desires. In addition, the fact that Living Color handles every aspect of the design-build process ensures that they will meet the delivery date.

Designers who select Living Color to handle their custom cabinetry projects will be assigned a dedicated project manager, who will present detailed 3-D CAD renderings and regularly provide status updates to ensure the project is completed on time. The inability of custom cabinetry manufacturers to meet delivery dates was one of the top issues voiced by interior designers. A missed delivery date reflects poorly on both the interior designer and the manufacturer.

"We have been building cabinetry for custom aquariums since 1988, which requires very innovative design approaches and precision craftsmanship," said Keith Young, Director of Sales. As a result, our woodworking artisans are some of the best in the business who also are very attuned to the importance of adhering to a delivery schedule."

Living Color's woodworking artisans can produce cabinets for any space, taking into account lighting and home décor. They will work alongside each interior designer to provide counsel from their years of experience designing and building cabinetry for both residential and high-end commercial clients of all sizes.

These artisans can handcraft cabinetry designs in any style, including modern, eclectic, industrial, faux stone, traditional, or a combination of these styles.

As part of the "Build It Here" program, interior designers can select from a distinctive array of moldings, profiles and high-quality finishes housed in an all-inclusive resource library in the company's unique cabinetry project room.

The project room serves as both a conference room and a sample room where a designer can bring clients to see various molding, wood, metal and finish options.

After gathering input, Living Color designers will begin to bring the custom cabinetry project to life. First, the project manager will present a 3-D pictorial drawing using state-of-the-art graphics such as AutoCAD, usually within a week. The designers will then elaborate on this depiction to create a hand-colored or computer-generated lifelike representation of the cabinetry. This step allows a client to visualize the finished product and make any changes before actual construction begins, thereby minimizing miscommunications and costs.

Living Color has the infrastructure to handle projects of all sizes. One of Living Color's largest commercial projects included designing and building Animal Kingdom Lodge at Walt Disney World in Orlando, Fla. The woodworking artisans also recently completed a residential community sales center, which involved designing and building more than 80 pieces.

Living Color can facilitate the design and completion of several jobs simultaneously in its 43,000 square-foot facility in Fort Lauderdale. In addition to the cabinet shop, the facility features a wood shop "prep" area. The shop has state-of-the-art equipment, including a full cross-flow spray booth. To ensure integrity throughout the entire process, Living Color uses a separate compressor for the clear-coat and sealing guns to make certain that they stay clean.
