Michael Feder

Chief Executive Officer

Michael brings fifteen years of corporate management experience to the Living Color Enterprises, Inc. team, and will be providing his expertise to initiate the company’s expansion into new markets. Prior to joining Living Color Enterprises, Michael was a partner in a startup company specializing in high-volume document conversion solutions for organizations affiliated in the healthcare and public sectors. The company raised significant investor equity, enjoyed double-digit revenue growth and achieved profitability within its first two years of inception.Michael also has senior-level experience in the medical device industry in both publicly and privately-held companies, with a concentration in both Operations and Sales Management. Michael’s education includes a Master’s Degree of Business Administration from the University of Florida in 1999 and a Bachelor of Arts Degree from the University of Maryland in 1991. Michael’s vision and cumulative years of professional leadership will support and enhance Living Color Enterprises’ corporate growth strategy.

Mat Roy

President & COO

With almost two decades of experience in custom aquarium and themed environment solutions at Living Color Aquariums, Mat oversees all aspects of operations, including design, production and installation.  Mat’s expertise sources from an extensive background in acrylic, complemented by a specialization in aquarium engineering, design and fabrication.  Utilizing his creativity and comprehensive experience, Mat heads a talented team of specialists at Living Color.From conception to implementation, Mat’s experiences span from large residential and commercial aquarium installations such as Major League Baseball’s Miami Marlin’s Ballpark, South Florida Science Museum (West Palm Beach, FL), and Rainforest Café (multiple locations), to elaborate themed environment projects including SeaWorld’s Grand Reef at Discovery Cove and Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon (Orlando, FL), among dozens of other installations.Mat is also the featured Living Color star of “Fish Tank Kings”, the largely successful reality TV series now in its second season on Nat Geo WILD.

Shawn Rich

Director of Sales & Marketing

Shawn joined Living Color Aquariums in 2009 and is responsible for directing the Custom and Retail Sales segments of Living Color Aquariums and Themed Environments. Shawn brings a background in Construction Management, with a concentration in Commercial and Residential Custom Aquarium design. Shawn’s comprehensive understanding of all aspects of the aquarium manufacturing process, as well as the contract and sales cycle ensures that Living Color customers receive a professional client experience and a product that exceeds expectations.Shawn obtained a Bachelor’s degree from the College of Engineering at Florida International University in 2005, and later earned his State of Florida Certified General Contractor’s License in 2009.

Claudio Issa


Claudio Issa joins the team at Living Color Aquariums effective September 2013. Claudio’s most recent work experience was with Robert’s American Gourmet Foods, LLC, where he served as Controller since 2011. Robert’s American Gourmet Foods is commonly known in the industry as “Pirate Brands”, (natural snack foods) which includes Pirate’s Booty, Smart Puffs and Original Tings. Pirate Brands was acquired in 2008, as an investment, by the founder of Vitamin Water, and VMG Equity Partners, a private equity group. The company’s revenue nearly tripled in five years, and brand recognition grew tremendously through partnerships with the likes of Pirates of the Caribbean, Sponge Bob, and Monsters Inc. In July 2013, the company was sold to B&G Foods, Inc. for $195 million.Claudio’s prior experience also includes Landau Arnold Laufer, LLP, as a Staff Accountant/Consultant, and Marsh & McLennan as an Assistant Internal Auditor. Claudio graduated from St. Francis College in 2004 with a Bachelor of Science in Accounting, and is currently a CPA candidate, projected 2014.

Erin Tartaglia

Financial Analyst

Erin joined Living Color Aquariums, Inc. in August 2013. With a specialty in mathematics and finance, Erin’s primary responsibilities include project profitability, job costing and strategic planning. Prior to joining Living Color, Erin was a high school mathematics teacher at one of South Florida’s top public schools. Erin earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Mathematics from the State University of New York at Geneseo in 2009 and a Master’s Degree of Business Administration from Walden University in 2013.

Cesar Verdugo

President of Cabinetry

Cesar Verdugo joined Living Color in September 2003, and assumed the role of President of Cabinetry in November 2012. At Living Color, Cesar utilizes his in-depth knowledge of product design, materials sourcing, fabrication processes, production equipment capabilities, assembly and fulfillment process, and quality control standards to help ensure that only the finest custom cabinetry products are manufactured from our world class, state-of-the-art factory.Cesar graduated from the University of Cuenca in Ecuador in 1989, where he earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering. In 2002, Cesar later earned his certification of General Contractor in the State of Florida. Prior to joining Living Color, Cesar’s cabinetry career experience commenced in 1990, when he joined Colineal Corp., the largest furniture company in Ecuador. Cesar was later promoted to become General Manager of one its production facilities. In 2000, Cesar transferred to a custom cabinetry company in Miami, and has since resided in South Florida.

Jose Blanco

Aquarium Production Manager

Jose joined Living Color Aquariums in 1999, and currently serves as Production Manager. Jose’s responsibilities include oversight of all acrylic, coral and substrate production operations, in support of of the manufacturing for Living Color’s custom aquarium and themed exhibit work, including our proprietary artificial coral and reefs, rockwork and retail product lines. Jose also oversees all factory-level operations, including compliances to code and safety initiatives. Jose received a Bachelor of Fine Arts from the Kansas City Art Institute in 1992, and later completed graduate-level coursework at the University of Miami Arts Department in 1995. Kevin Mathis

Aquarium Husbandry Manager

Kevin joined Living Color Aquariums in 2011, and is responsible for managing Living Color’s Quarantine and Distribution Center, as well the Aquarium Maintenance Team, which has been servicing high profile clients in the South Florida area for over 20 years. Kevin’s began his career in the Public Aquarium industry in 1995, where he accumulated an extensive background in animal care, life support systems operations and maintenance, project management, and aquarium maintenance. His prior work experience includes the Shark Reef at Mandalay Bay (Las Vegas, NV), North Carolina Aquarium (Pine Knoll Shores, Fort Fisher, NC), and Underwater World (Tumon, Guam).

Ben Alia

Senior Project Manager

Ben Alia joined Living Color Aquariums in 1999, and currently serves as Senior Project Manager. Ben has successfully managed over 100 complex turnkey commercial, residential and institutional projects, and is the primary client service liaison between Living Color and its clients. Ben’s responsibilities begin at the point of client sale, where he oversees design, purchasing, fabrication and final installation. His most recent experience includes high-visibility installations such as SeaWorld’s Discover Cove, Naples Conservancy, South Florida Science Center and Aquarium, and Fontainebleau Hotel. Ben’s successful project management provisions ensure that we consistently meet and exceed client expectations.
